BREWERY INFO
Brouwerij BoonFrank Boon, a pioneer of the authentic lambic and gueuze revival, has owned and operated Boon Brewery since 1975. However, the brewery has its roots in the village of Lembeek dating back to 1680 as a farm-brewery and distillery. In 1860, Louis Paul purchased the brewery to exclusively produce lambic and faro. By 1875, gueuze lambic was being bottled. Pierre Troch bought the brewery in 1898, but it changed hands after the economic crisis of 1927, ultimately being acquired by Joseph De Vits. Joseph's son, Rene De Vits, was highly regarded for producing exceptional soft and fine gueuze lambic. As Rene De Vits had no heirs, he sold the brewery to Frank Boon.
