The road trip continues, and Dan Mumford is taking us to Edinburgh for our latest Patrons Project release. Mumford’s beers have all taken inspiration from their namesake locations, not only for the incredible artwork on the label but in the liquid itself as well.There are so many iconic flavours in Scotland that we could have worked into the beer but ultimately decided to pay homage to one of the country’s more underrated spirits, Gin. Scotland’s relationship to its salty coastline runs deep, and it’s Juniper strewn moors grow wide and vast. We’ve paired the saline with the savoury in a classically ‘Monk’ hazy IPA.A trip to Scotland is nothing without meeting up with some local friends, and we’ve recruited the fantastic Moonwake Beer Co based on the Leith. They are a modern Scottish brewery, established in 2021, brewing balanced beers for all to enjoy.
